As a member of the investment team at Conversion Capital, you will collaborate closely with Conversion Capitals portfolio managers on new investment sectors, deal prospecting, investment diligence, and portfolio management.

Duties will include:

  • Identifying and tracking technology trends and market developments
  • Conducting market sizing, financial analysis and general quantitative modeling
  • Preparing internal presentations and memorandums
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance
  • Primary coverage will be software, data, and cloud technologies
  • Working directly with the investment team on day to day activities
  • Track and evaluate new companies in our pipeline
  • Participate and or lead due diligence for specific investment transactions
  • Conduct sector research

Qualifications: Tireless networker who’s established an extensive network of peers, classmates and former colleagues in key technology areas

  1. Postgraduate degree from top tier university
  2. Field of study: Finance, Business, Engineering or related degree
  3. 2-6 years of experience that includes a combination of venture capital/private equity, venture-backed enterprise software startup or buy side research driven financial services firm
  4. Self-starter able to function independently, but equally collaborate in a small group environment
  5. Strong industry proficiency
  6. Highly articulate with exceptional presentation skills, both presenting verbally and in the creation of slides
  7. Strong quantitative skills with an ability to build and operate excel models and financial analysis
  8. Knowledge of emerging technology and business models in sectors relevant to Conversion Capital
  9. Strong analytics skills, including consuming and synthesizing complex information and forming opinions
  10. Superior oral, written and visual communication skills, to form a succinct and elegant story or case
  11. Superior proactive networking and relationship development skills
  12. Proven teamwork skills both as a leader and cross-functional team member
  13. Self-motivated with high initiative and ability to keep up momentum with minimum structure and guidance
